Introduction
In Excel, you may want to display units like square meters (“m2”) with the “2” showing as a small number at the top right, like “m²”. Here is how to format the text to achieve this appearance.
Steps
Here is the procedure:
- Open Excel. Highlight (select) only the “2” within the text “m2”.
- Right-click and select “Format Cells” (or press
Ctrl+1). - In the “Effects” section, check the box for “Superscript”.
- Finally, click “OK”.
That’s it! The “2” will now be displayed as a superscript. I hope this helps.
